They wanted to know more information about a poster created by the Calipat Lion's Club. The poster indicated a trailer park to house the homeless was being created. Most of the residents did not agree that the project was not how the City should spend its money. The Council said no such project was being considered. The creator of the poster said the message was misinterpreted. He said the poster was to draw attention to the growing problem of homelessness in Calipatria. Also at the meeting, it was announced the plans for the park and splash pad on Date street had changed. The plans are now to construct the park and splash pad at Cliff Hatfield Memorial Airport.
