(Fireworks Spectacular in Calipatria.)....It was held Sunday.

The event was hosted by the Calipatria Foundation and the Calipatria Host Lions Club. Actual numbers are not available, but the event attracted residents from around the County. Calipat Fire hosted a Water Polo event, competing against Fire Departments from around the County. There was a lot of fun, food and entertainment. The fireworks show began at 9 pm. Shortly after the show began, it was stopped because of a fire in the area. The Fire Department was on scene and quickly took care of the fire. The Fireworks show resumed and continued for at least 30 minutes more. Many came away impressed by the show.
