The Border Patrol says there are increasing reports of Bandits in the mountains, preying on those crossing the border illegally. The bandits are not only a threat to take the illegal border crosser's money. They are also known to harm the illegal immigrants and have been known to shoot them. The Border Patrol says the increased reports are from the illegal border crossers themselves. The best defense is to not cross the border illegally. If they are attacked by the bandits, they should contact the Border Patrol as soon as possible.
