A Yuma man suffered smoke inhalation when his mobile home caught fire.

According to the Yuma Fire Department, at about 9:20 p.m. Friday, fire personnel responded to a mobile home on fire in the 1200 block of West 3rd Street. Firefighters forced the door open and found a man inside calling for help. The man was carried out of the residence and then taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center before being transferred to a Phoenix hospital for treatment of smoke and heat injuries. The fire apparently started with an unattended pot on the stove. The mobile home sustained moderate damage.
