A brush fire is burning in the Cleveland National Forest near the Palomar Mountain Observatory.
The blaze , named the Cutca Fire , was first reported at about 4:00 PM Friday. The fire is burning in steep rugged terrain that is mostly inaccessible. Two hotshot crews were inserted by helicopter Friday night and they continue to fight the fire , aided by aerial tankers. As of late Sunday afternoon the fire has consumed some 170 acres. According to the U.S. Forest Service , no structures are endangered at this time and no evacuations have been ordered.
