Meth and Heroin in one seizure

(Agents seize a combination of narcotics)…..It was in one seizure at the Highway 86 Checkpoint.

Border Patrol agents encountered a 2002 Buick Park Avenue Friday at around 7:00 am. A Canine Detection Team alerted to the vehicle, and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. Agents discovered 10 packages of methamphetamine and two packages of heroin in the vehicle’s frame rails. The Methamphetamine weighed 11 pounds with an estimated street value of $110,000. The heroin weighed 4.84 pounds with an estimated street value of $58,000. The 30 year old driver, a lawfully admitted permanent resident, the vehicle and the narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
