No significant road damage

(Imperial County dodged a bullet)…That is how Public Works described the weekend storms.

In a report to the County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, Public Works Director William Brunet said the rainstorms brought a lot of water, but did not create any serious road problems. Brunet said there were the usual road closures on Ogilby and other county roads, but he said they have all been reopened, and there are no lingering closures. He said considering the damages in Riverside, San Diego and Los Angeles Counties, Imperial County really did dodge a bullet.
