A stubborn brush fire is burning near Tecate.
The fire broke out shortly before 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon east of Marron Valley in San Diego County. According to CalFire, as of about 4:45 p.m. Monday, 577 acres were involved with zero containment. CalFire and San Diego County Sheriff's deputies rescued 5 individuals who has apparently crossed the border illegally nd were caught in the fire zone.
