(Border Patrol arrests a documented member of a street gang)...The arrest was made Tuesday morning.

Agents encountered the individual in the Jacumba Wilderness region. It was determined the person had entered the US illegally, and the individual was placed under arrest. The person was transported to El Centro, where a records check revealed  the individual was a documented member of the street gang, SUR 13. They also found an extensive criminal and immigration history that includes numerous felony and misdemeanor convictions, as well as several deportations and re-entries
