(Central Union Highschool District will be celebrating Cesar Chavez Day)...It will be a special celebration.

On Thursday, March 31st, in the evening they will host an event honoring the legacy of Judge Cruz Reynoso, the first Latino Judge appointed to the California Supreme Court. Judge Reynoso passed away May 7, 2021 at the age of 90. The event is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm at Southwest High School in El Centro. A reception will be held in the theatre lobby, followed by the viewing of the documentary film, Cruz Reynoso: Sowing the Seeds of Justice. It will highlight the life of Judge Cruz Reynoso. The Cesar Chavez Day celebration is sponsored by Central Union High School District, Southern California Gas Company and MANA de Imperial Valley. It will be open to students, staff and the public.
