They seized over $20 million in narcotics. The Field Office includes all the Ports in San Diego and Imperial County. During the first 2 weeks in March, they seized 131 pounds of cocaine, 11 pounds of heroin, 10,967 pounds of methamphetamine, and 213 pounds of fentanyl. It all happened in 73 smuggling attempts. The total street value of the narcotics was estimated at $20.6 million. All the suspects were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for further investigation. The seizures were part of Operation Apollo, a joint regional operation comprised of federal, state and local agencies
