An El Centro bank branch was robbed Tuesday afternoon.

Few details have been released, but according to El Centro Police, an armed suspect robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch in the El Centro Vons Grocery store. A press release issued by the El Centro Police Department says the armed suspect entered the store at about 2:10 p.m. On arrival, officers set up a perimeter around the store but were unable to locate the suspect. The robbery remains under investigation.
