(Preliminary Hearing for Brandon Hamlin)....It ended this week.

The 22-year-old is charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder and 2 counts of robbery. During the hearing a Brawley Police Officer testified on finding the bodies of 78-year-old Elia Castro and 84-year-old Rigoberto Castro. The officer testified on how he found the bodies and how they suspect the two were killed. An investigator also testified Hamlin had told him he did not plan on murdering the couple. The investigator said he was told Hamlin was washing their vehicle when he received bad news, which led to the crimes. Following the testimony, the judge said he would determine if there was enough evidence to schedule a trial. He would make that announcement later this month.
