(El Centro Sector Border Patrol says the number of encounters have decreased)......They say the numbers are for the first two months of the new fiscal year.

During that time, they say the number of encounters are down 73% as compared to the same period a year ago. In October and November agents encountered 3,836 migrants, as compared to 14,340 encountered during the same time period in 2022. The El Centro Sector decline is second to Yuma.
