( New Art Gallery Opening in Ocotillo).... The Grand Opening of the Gateway Gallery will be January 14th at 2 pm.

The Gallery will be located right off Interstate 8 at 1173 Imperial Highway in Ocotillo. Ocotillo resident and renowned San Diego Architect Mark Silva has been transforming the property into studios and a white walled gallery space to feature local and emerging artists. The opening event will be a group show featuring artists spanning Mexicali, Imperial Valley, Borrego Springs, Jacumba and San Diego working in various mediums. The friendship Patio, an outdoor patio turned music venue will have performances by jazz trio Rhythm Sexion, progressive rock band Fistfights with Wolves, and instrumental funk, rock and trip-hop by Tabula Rasa. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Admission is free.
