Residents of Seeley and Ocotillo are being encouraged to apply for the Imperial Valley Healthcare District Board of Directors.

Earlier this week, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors extended the application process for the appointment of one individual residing in the unincorporated communities of Seeley and Ocotillo. The extension is due to a lack of qualified applicants from the previous solicitation of applications.

Eligible applicants for the position must reside in the areas of Seely or Ocotillo. The successful applicant will be selected by the County Board of Supervisors. The Imperial Valley Healthcare District Board of Directors is outlined in Assembly Bill 918, which was signed into law in October of this year. The Bord will play a crucial role in the formation of the new countywide district and the future of Imperial Valley healthcare.

Applications are available online at the Clerk of the Boards's website or may be picked up at the Clerk of the Boards office. Deadline for submission is January 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
