A man who plead guilty to the theft of agricultural equipment has been sentenced.

In August 2022, Imperial County Sheriff's Office was notified of the theft of several trailers of irrigation sprinklers. ICSO investigators were able to locate numerous trailers and pipes in the yard of Jimmy David Nuckles. The irrigation equipment belonged to several different farms. Nuckles was arrested and charged with Grand Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. The defendant plead guilty to a felony of Receipt of Stolen Property. Nuckles was sentenced to 1 year in custody and 2 years of formal probation. He was also ordered to pay full restitution to all the victims. The amount of restitution was contested but finally resolved on August 18, 2023 when Nuckles paid over $90,000 to the victims. That concluded the case.
