(CBP officers find a mixed load of drugs)....It happened recently at the Tecate Port.

A man driving a pick-up entered the port in an attempt to cross the border.. The driver and the vehicle were referred to the secondary inspection area. Customs and Border Protection officers found irregularities in the gas tank of the vehicle. A CBP k-9 enforcement team also alerted to narcotics in the vehicle. The officers found and extracted 60 packages  from the gas tank. 50 of the packages weighed at just over 116 pounds and contained methamphetamine. The other ten packages contained cocaine. Those packages weighed over 28 pounds. The estimated street value of all the narcotics was estimated at around $485,000. The driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The CBP seized the vehicle and narcotics.
