El Centro Police officers arrested a man wanted for various felony charges.

The man was driving in the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue late Thursday morning when police stopped the car because it matched the description of a vehicle that Indio Police knew to be driven by a man wanted in that city. El Centro Police were able to detain the driver and then verify that he was the suspect wanted in Indio for various felony charges, including kidnapping. Damen Gonzales was taken into custody and processed at the El Centro Police Department and then turned over to Indio Police Department officers.
