(D.A. releases complaint)....The complaint led to the arrest of Antonio Campos in Colorado.

On February 22 the District Attorney filed a 4 count complaint against Campos, who was arrested this week in Grand Junction Colorado. The complaint charges 4 felonies: Willful, deliberate and premeditated murder of Rose Jame Campos with special circumstances of lying in wait, 2 counts of forcible rape and stalking. The Imperial County Sheriff's Office investigated the case for over a year. The case was submitted for review in January. The D.A.'s office and the Sheriff's Office secured a no bail warrant so Campos could be detained. The D.A. investigators recruited the Department of Homeland Security and US Marshall's and the Sheriff's Office to locate and detain Campos and place him under arrest. A Court in Mesa, Colorado agreed to hold Campos without bail while he went through the extradition process. The suspect could waive extradition and be returned to Imperial County. If not, court proceedings for extradition begin March 1, 2023.
