Two recent traffic stops resulted in the seizure of over $830,000 worth of methamphetamine.

On Tuesday morning, February 21, Border Patrol agents performed two separate vehicle stops on Interstate 10 near Dillon Road. A Border Patrol K-9 team alerted to one of the cars. During a search of the interior of the vehicle, five large duffel bags were found. The bags contained over 692 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of over $830, 000. The second car that was stopped did not contain any drugs but agents were able to determine that the drivers of the cars were a mother and daughter team. The 46-year-old mother and 23-year-old daughter were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
