(It is a national Holiday)....It is President's Day.

Years ago the United States Celebrated Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday separately. Many complained President Harrison and President Reagan also hade birthday in February and should be celebrated as well. The congress decided instead of adding two more holidays to the month, they would eliminate one, and celebrate the third Monday of the month as President's Day.. It is recognized as a Federal, State and Local holiday. Banks, businesses, schools and government offices are closed today, except for emergency services. The County Board of Supervisors have an ordinance that says they will not meet the day after a holiday that falls on Monday. The IID Board will meet Tuesday afternoon.
