(Discussions underway on drought solutions)....The Drought on the Colorado River does not appear to be ending anytime soon.

Stakeholders are currently meeting to try and find a plan that would allow Colorado River water users to live, using less water. Baja California has already experienced a major reduction in their Colorado River allotment. Recently Government officials in Baja announced a plan. The plan includes the construction of three or four seawater desalination plants. They intend to spend over $210 million dollars, or around 4 billion pesos on the projects. They have released no other information on the projected projects. They also plan on the rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants, improvement of all water distribution networks and major  maintenance of the Tijuana Aqueduct. Not many details on any of the proposed projects were released.
