There is no lack of Holiday Cheer in the Imperial Valley.

The City of El Centro will have Santa's Lights and Sirens Neighborhood Tour Starting Monday. Santa will be escorted around the city by the El Centro Fire Department, with lights and sirens so kids will know to come out and wave to him. The tour starts at 5:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 8:30 p.m. each evening through Sunday, December 18.

The El Centro Library will present How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Wednesday, December 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be stories, crafts, games, refreshments and music.

On Thursday, December 15 it's Christmas in the Park in Holtville. There will be food and craft vendors, holiday music performed by the Holtville Middle School and High School Band and Chorus. It starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. Santa will arrive at 6:00 p.m. It's presented by the Holtville Chamber of Commerce. 

On Friday, December 16 Jimmy Cannon's Valley Jazz will present their 33rd Annual Holiday Concert at the Jimmie Cannon Theater on the campus of Southwest High School. Valley Jazz is under the direction of Renee Baker and will feature special Guest Derek Cannon. It's a music-filled evening of jazz and holiday favorites that begins at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free with 2 food items for the Imperial Valley Food Bank. The concert is sponsored by Imperial Valley College, Central Union High School and the El Centro Education Foundation.

On Saturday, December 17, ABATE Local 38 will hold the Imperial Valley Toy Run for Los Ninos. Participants will meet at Coyne Powersports at 4th and the Freeway in El Centro at 8:30 a.m. Donation is $10.00 per person plus a new toy. All bikes, cars and trucks are welcome.

Also on Saturday, the El Centro Aquatic Center will host a fun-filled North Pool Winter Wellness Event. The event will include fitness classes on the lawn as well as aerobic classes in the heated pool. Kids will be able to take pictures with Elsa from Frozen and also with Santa Claus. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
