(Woman caught smuggling Methamphetamine)…Unfortunately, that is not that unusual anymore.
What is unusual is that the woman readily admitted she knew the narcotics were in her vehicle. Recently Customs and Border Protection officers at the Calexico East Port of Entry discovered 12 pounds of meth hidden in the Ford Expedition being driven by 37-year-old Neyba de Let Vazquez-Flores. The narcotic was valued at $231,000. Vazquez-Flores, a US citizen, was taken into custody. She turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The woman admitted to officers she knew the narcotics were hidden in the vehicle she was driving. She told them she had been paid $2,000 to drive the drugs across the border. She was booked into County Jail, charged with importation of a controlled substance.
