(Shots fired. One in custody)…Several calls of shots fired came in Monday night.
Yuma County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the calls at 11:50 pm. When they arrived at the scene, in the 11000 block of South Avenue 9E, a witness pointed out the suspect vehicle. A high-risk stop was made on the vehicle. Deputies found two occupants in the vehicle. They confirmed they had two weapons in the vehicle. A search of the area resulted in the discovery of spent cartridges. Victor Medina, the passenger in the vehicle was placed under arrest and booked into Yuma County Adult Detention Center. Deputies did not elaborate, but said Medina was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The driver was released pending follow-up investigation and search warrant for the vehicle. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
