(Fireballs in the sky)…..That is what it looked like Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service says they were meteors. They were seen by residents of Imperial County, Mexico, in San Diego and Los Angeles. They were also reported in Arizona, Utah and Nevada. The Weather Service says a South Taurid Meteor Shower is underway. They say South Taurids are known for their dramatic fireballs. They say a meteor shower occurs every year about this time. This meteor shower will peak November 16 and 17. They say observers will be aided by a full moon, and witness 10 to 20 big fireballs every hour at the peak.
