(Filing period for June 3rd Primary election)….The Candidate nomination period starts Monday.
The June ballot looks like it will be a full ballot, and may result in a few run-offs in November. For Superior Court Judge, Incumbents Raymond Cota and William Lehman for Seats 2 and 4 respectively are running unopposed, so far. Candidates announcing their intention to run for Seat one include incumbent judge Christopher Yeager and challengers William Derek Quan and Veronica Henderson. For Seat 3, incumbent Donal Donnely is facing Ruth Bermudez Montenegro and James S. Smith. The two County Supervisor races could be very interesting. In District 1 Incumbent John Renison is being challenged by Joong S. Kim, Eduardo Guzman, Alex Perrone and Steve Taylor. In District 5, incumbent Ray Castillo is being challenged by Kevin D. McFadden and Walter (Wally) Leimgruber. Incumbent Assessor Roy Buckner is being challenged by Kathleen Ball, Robert Menvielle and Carlos Zaragoza. District Attorney Gilbert Otero is being challenged by Roland Wayne Robinson. Public Administrator Norma Saikhon is being challenged by Christian Legaspi and Joan Durham. Sheriff Ray Loera is being challenged by Rick Macken. Superintendent of Schools Anne Mallory is being challenged by Jonathon (Todd) Finnell and Mohamed ASIAD. So far the incumbent IID Directors are running unopposed. The Candidate nomination period ends March 7th.
