(E.Coli outbreak)…This one is linked to Chicken Salad from Costco.
Federal Health officials say 19 people in seven states, including California, have contracted E.Coli in the outbreak. Health officials say anybody who bought the Chicken Salad from Costco on or before Friday are being advised to throw it away, even if no one has gotten sick. They say the strain of Shiga toxin-producing E.Coli can be life threatening, but no deaths have been reported in the current outbreak. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention said five people have been hospitalized and two have developed a type of kidney failure. The outbreak is being investigated by the CDC and state health officials.
