(50th Annual Air Show)…It is scheduled for Saturday at the Naval Air Facility El Centro.

Gates open at 9:00 am. The first US Navy air show of the year provides the community an opportunity to see thrilling aerial and ground performers for free, while interacting with Sailors. Aerial events begin at 11:00 am and will feature performances by civilian, military and warbird aircraft. Headlining the event will be the US Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels. Additional jet acts include Tom Larkin’s mini jet, a MIG-15 versus F-86 dogfight, and the US Air Force’s A-10 Demonstration Jet. Other aerial acts include the Navy Seal’s Leapfrogs, John Collver and Vicky Benzing. Ground attractions include a classic car show, the 501st Legion and Vintage and modern military aircraft. Officials warn parking may be a little difficult because of the recent rains.
