(IID Races)…They may not be decided until November.

Two Imperial Irrigation District Director Divisions were on Wednesday’s ballot. In Division 2 JB Hamby picked up 40.78 percent of the vote while incumbent Bruce Kuhn picked up 27.30 percent of the vote. To win, a candidate needs over 50 percent of the vote. It was the same for Division 4. Incumbent Eric Ortega picked up 46.09 percent of the vote, while challenger Javier Gonzalez picked up 30.02 percent. That means both races could go to a run-off in November. There are ballots still to be counted, and that could change the outcome. It is not known how many ballots still need to be counted, or where they are from.
