Inmate suffers fatal stab wounds

(Fatal prison stabbing)…It occurred late last week.

Prison officials say the stabbing was the result of a fight in the maximum security Facility B at the Calipatria State Prison. The victim was fighting with two other prisoners. Suffering the fatal stab wounds was 30-year-old Kimson Moun, originally from Orange County. He went to prison after receiving a murder conviction. Officials say the man was in the process of being flown out of the prison when he went into cardiac arrest. He was flown to Pioneer’s memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
