(Storm brings little rain, officially)….The National Weather Service says only trace amounts of rain were recorded Tuesday.
Calexico, however received more rain than that. The storm, remnants of Hurricane Linda, knocked power out in some Calexico neighborhoods. The brunt of the storm hit the extreme east Imperial County. A lot of rain was reported in Andrade and across the border in Algodones. Flooding and a lot of debris was reported on Highway 78 and Ogilby Road. Yuma was hard hit with street flooding, trees and power poles were knocked over by the strong gusty winds. The National Weather Service says rain chances will continue Wednesday and Thursday, before the storm moves east into Arizona.
