El Centro Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday morning.

The shooting was reported at 11:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of Vine Street. Initial information indicates a man was shot with a shotgun and was on the ground in front of a house. Witnesses said that three suspects were seen walking away from the scene to the east. They then apparently got in a car driven by a woman. The victim was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. No information has been released on his condition. Few details have been released and the investigation is continuing.
