(Homicide investigation)….A deceased woman was found Wednesday night.

A Patrolling California Highway Patrol officer found the body on Bowker Road north of Interstate 8. Officials say the body was found face down with an electrical cord around the neck. The discovery was reported at 9:40 Wednesday night. The County Coroner and the County Sheriff’s Special Investigations and Homicide Unit were called to the scene. Very few details are being released. The Coroner’s Office says the body has not been identified. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
