U.S. Border Patrol agents found heroin in the shoes worn by a passenger on a commercial bus.
The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when Border Patrol agents were checking a commercial bus at the Highway 86 check point. Agents noticed that a male passenger appeared nervous and checked him. They found 1.25 pounds of heroin in his shoes. The heroin has a street value of about $15,000. The man , a U.S. citizen , was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
