(More problems for El Centro Mayor Pro-tem)….Jason Jackson went to jail last month.

He served five days of a ten day sentence on a cruelty to an animal charge. This week Jackson was back in court, accused of perjury and other probation violations. During a hearing last month to decide if a request to dismiss the jail sentence and termination of his three year probation.. During that hearing Jackson apparently signed a declaration stating he had not committed any probation violations, had been a law abiding citizen and had been a model citizen. The court found Jackson had in fact been convicted of two traffic infractions. The court decided the infractions were violations of his probation. It was also determined the statement he had signed was not truthful, and considered perjury. Jackson’s attorney Robert Espinoza requested Judge Christopher Plourd recuse himself from the case because of bias against his client. The judge denied the request and he set the probation violation hearing date for January 8th.
