(Death may have been heat related)….A 62-year-old Salton City resident collapsed Monday evening.
Deputy Coroner Steven Green says the man was with friends all day, and was cooking outside when he collapsed. He was transported to Pioneers Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Green said the man’s body temperature was at 108.4 when he arrived at the hospital. The Deputy coroner said the temperature was probably even higher when he collapsed. An autopsy is being performed to determine the exact cause of death. Green said he suspects it was heat related.
