(A lot of smoke in the air)….The smokey haze has been hanging around since Saturday
. County Fire Chief Tony Rouhotas says the haze is being blown into the Imperial County. The Chief said the winds are blowing in smoke from fires in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. He said mostly from San Bernardino. The Lake Fire, as it is called, started last Wednesday. It has burned over 17,000 acres in the San Gorgonio Wilderness. Fire officials say the wild fire has burned mostly brush. They say it is only 21% contained as of early Monday morning. Chief Rouhotas said County Fire has sent a two-man water tender to that fire. He said the crew will remain on scene throughout the duration of the fire. He said they were working 12-hour shifts, 12 on, and 12 off.
