(Controversial meeting turned out not to be)….The Calexico City Council met Tuesday evening.
The first thing the council did was to unanimously pull two of the controversial items on the agenda. One was discussion and possible action on the contract between the city and interim Police Chief Michael Bostic. The second item dealt with discussion of contracting with the County Sheriff’s office to provide policing services for the border city if the Calexico Police Department was dissolved. The council went into a long closed session. When they emerged they announced no action was taken on the job performance reviews of the City Manager and the interim Police Chief. None of the items were tabled for future discussion.
