(High Risk warrant served)….It was served at 5:20 Friday morning.
El Centro Police, SWAT and the K-9 Unit served the warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Heil Court in El Centro. Assisting were agents from the Imperial Valley Border Enforcement Security Task Force. Officials say SWAT officers announced the presence of law enforcement and demanded entry for several minutes, before forcing entry into the location after the occupants failed to comply with the request. Inside the residence, they found 50 year old Roman Sanders and another male subject. Sanders was arrested on the high-risk warrant, charging him with possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale and resisting and obstructing a police officer. The other individual was released at the scene, with no pending charges. A search of the residence resulted in the discovery of controlled substances, packaging materials, a digital scale, and other indications of drug sales were located and seized from Sander’s bedroom. Sanders was being processed to be booked into County Jail for the arrest warrant and additional felony charges.
