Angered bees attack

(Dogs attacked by bees)…It was reported in Yuma.

A resident doing yard work Monday morning angered the bees. They swarmed, and the resident called the Yuma Fire Department. Fire fighters arrived in protective gear. They found the swarm in the yard. When the crew went into the back yard, they found two dogs. One of the animals was lying on the ground, covered in bees. The animals were removed, and the dog owner took them to a veterinarian. Both dogs were treated and fire officials say both will survive. No humans were attacked. The resident called an exterminator to eliminate the swarm. They did not say if the bees were Africanized or killer bees, or European honeybees.
