The California Highway Patrol was kept busy Monday afternoon with three accidents.

The first accident was reported at 1:55 p.m. on State Route 115 at Albright Road near Brawley when a vehicle involved in a collision spilled an estimated 30 gallons of diesel fuel. Hazardous materials crews were called in to clean up the spill and the roadway was shut down to complete the work. Minor injuries were reported in the accident.

At 3:25 p.m. , a solo vehicle rollover accident was reported on Highway 78. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames according to witnesses and was said to be about 90 feet down a ravine. Details as to injuries are still being determined.

At about 4:15 p.m. an accident was reported on Interstate 8 near Mt. Springs Road. The vehicle was reported to be burning. Reports indicated that 7 passengers were able to evacuate the van. One lane of the westbound freeway was shut down for about 30 minutes.

All three accidents remain under investigation.
