3 more rescued in the desert

(3 More rescued in the desert)….That brings the total to 18 in the last few weeks.

The El Centro Sector of the Border Patrol says the latest rescue occurred Monday. At around 5:00 pm agents received information from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office regarding some lost individuals. Using the coordinates given, agents were able to find the lost individuals in the Painted Gorge area, north of Ocotillo. The 3 individuals claimed to have made the distress call. They said they were lost, disoriented and needed help. An emergency medical technician was on scene and evaluated the three. They were deemed to be in good health and did not require medical attention. It determined the 3 were Mexican Nationals and had entered the Country illegally. The 25, 36 and 47 year olds were transported to the El Centro Border Patrol Station for processing and further investigation.
