(Skeletal remains recovered)…The Deputy Coroner had to hike in to retrieve them.
The remains were spotted by a Border Patrol helicopter and reported to the County Coroners Office. Deputy Coroner Steve Green left to retrieve the remains Thursday morning. The remains were discovered in the West Desert Mountains, near Davies Valley. Green found a full human skeleton at the scene. A pathologist will conduct an autopsy on the skeletal remains to try and determine if foul play contributed or caused the death of the person. A forensic anthropologist may be needed to investigate detailed information. It is estimated the person had been dead at least a month before the remains were discovered.
