The American Red Cross Region includes San Diego and Imperial Counties. The strategic vision is characterized by geographically aligned territories where they work together to accomplish their mission, improve their financial sustainability, and provide enhanced value through their Integrated Community Engagement model. This means the position of the Manager for the Imperial Valley Service Center will be eliminated. Sylvia Perciado Platero says she will leave the position at the end of the business day on April 3rd. She has been with the American Red Cross since May 8, 2001. She said the decision is in line with the regional consolidation and alignments that are taking place within the Red Cross across the country. Sylvia Preciado Platero sent an email explaining the situation and saying her good-byes to friends, partners and other people she has worked with over the years.
