(City of Calexico)…They are closely monitoring the COVID 19 situation.
The City is taking preventative measures to help curb the spread of the Corona Virus. Beginning Monday, City organized events will be canceled or postponed, Temporary use permits for community events and gatherings will be suspended and new applications will not be issued, all programming at the Calexico Recreation Department will be suspended, City parks will close. Organized sports practices and events will be suspended, Camarena Memorial Library will close, however book loaning and other services will continue. Call the library for more information, until further notice, there will be no public access to City Council meetings. Public comments can be submitted before 5:00 pm Wednesday March 18th, and all city commission meetings will be cancelled until further notice. Citizens are asked to follow Public Health Department recommendations, and stay at home and minimize social contact.
