It also served as a retirement ceremony for Captain Brent Alfonzo. Taking over command of the Naval Air Facility El Centro was Captain Derrick Kingsley. The new commanding officer is serving a temporary assignment. Captain Kingsley will serve as Commanding Officer at NAF until April. He is scheduled to be reassigned then. Another Change of Command Ceremony will be held in April, with Captain William Perkins taking over Command of NAF El Centro.
