(Grandmother and Granddaughter arrested)…It happened Sunday at the Andrade Port of Entry.

A 65 year old woman and her 19 year old granddaughter drove into the port in a 2006 Dodge Durango. A Customs and Border Protection team was roving through the vehicle lanes when the canine alerted to the SUV. The vehicle and its occupants were referred to the secondary inspection area. CBP officers searched the vehicle and found 299 packages of methamphetamine in the vehicle’s roof, doors and quarter panels. The meth weighed 219 pounds, with an estimated value of $416,000. CBP seized the narcotics and the vehicle. The women were turned over to Homeland Security Investigation agents for further processing.
