(Two previously deported sex offenders)…They were both arrested Saturday.

The first was found in the early morning about 16 miles east of the Calexico Downtown Port of Entry. Border Patrol agents from the El Centro Sector assigned to the Calexico Station took the man into custody and took him to the El Centro Station for immigration and criminal history screening. The man was identified as Carlos Alberto Garcia, a 47 year old Mexican national. The records check revealed that Garcia had been convicted in 2008 for molestation of a child under 18 years of age in Los Angeles. He was given 3 year’s probation and 365 days in jail. The second incident was in the afternoon of the same day. A man suspected of entering the US illegally was found 11 miles West of the Calexico Downtown Port. He was identified as Ricardo Saucedo Hernandez, a 51 year old Mexican national who had been convicted in 2003 of molestation of a child under 18 years of age in Perris, California. Both men are being held in Federal Custody pending further criminal prosecution.
